Der WWF kritisiert am Fischfang mit Baumkurren zum einen den hohen Energieverbrauch, der zum Schleppen notwendig ist, zum anderen die hohe Belastung des Meeresbodens und seiner Bewohner durch die Rollen und Kufen.
