فريد رمضان (4 نوفمبر 1961 - 6 نوفمبر 2020) … فريد رمضان (4 نوفمبر 1961 - 6 نوفمبر 2020)، روائي وسينارست ومنتج سينمائي بحريني. يعتبره الكثيرون من أبرز الروائيين الخليجيين الذين اشتغلوا على تفكيك خطاب العنصرية عبر اشتغاله على موضوع الهويات الثقافية في البحرين، حتى أطلق عليه بعض النقاد لقب «روائي الهويات». من أبرز أعماله رواية «المحيط الإنجليزي» وفيلم «الشجرة النائمة». ولد في جزيرة المحرّق، بدأ بنشر تجاربه القصصية في الصحافة البحرينية والخليجية مع مطلع الثمانينيات من القرن العشرين. في العام 1984م نشر أول مجموعة قصصية له بعنوان البياض. عمل في فترة مبكرة من عمره في الصحافة البحرينية بدوام جزئي في جريدة الأضواء والأيام، واستمر في عمله الصحفي فرأس القسم الثقافي في جريدة الوطن ثم جريدة الوقت. ومجلة هنا البحرين. كتب للإذاعة والتلفزيون العديد من البرامج، كما كتب الإعلانات التجارية والأفلام الوثائقية.كتب الأفلام الروائية الطويلة والقصيرة للعديد من المخرجين في البحرين والإمارات العربية المتحدة والعراق وفلسطين. أسس مع المخرج البحريني محمد راشد بوعلي شركة نوران بيكتشرز للإنتاج الفني.أصدر أول أعماله الروائية التنور؛ غيمة لباب البحرين عام 1994م عن منشورات كتاب كلمات التي تصدرها أسرة الأدباء والكتاب في البحرين. فازت روايته السوافح؛ ماء النعيم بالجائزة الأولى في حقل الرواية البحرينية من قبل وزارة الإعلام في 2007م.تميزت تجربة فريد رمضان السردية باهتمامها بموضوع الهويات وتنوعاتها والهجرة إلى البحرين خصوصاً ودول الخليج العربية عموماً والتحولات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية التي شكلت واقعها الحالي.ماعية والاقتصادية التي شكلت واقعها الحالي.
, Fareed Ramadan (Arabic: فريد رمضان, Novemb … Fareed Ramadan (Arabic: فريد رمضان, November 4, 1961 – November 6, 2020) is a Bahraini novelist, screenwriter, and film producer. He is often considered one of the most prominent Gulf novelists and worked to deconstruct the discourse of racism through his work on cultural identities in Bahrain, to the point that some critics called him a “novelist of identities.” Among his most prominent works are the novel The English Ocean and the screenplay of the film The Sleeping Tree. Born on Muharraq Island, Ramadan published his first collection of stories in 1984, entitled البياض (“White”). He worked part-time from the time he was very young at the local newspapers, Al-Adwaa and Al Ayam. Later, he became the culture editor at other papers, Al-Watan and Al-Waqt, as well as the magazine, Hana Bahrain. He has written many screenplays for radio and television, and has also written commercials and documentaries. He has written both feature and short film scripts for many directors in Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, and Palestine. Ramadan and Bahraini director founded their own studio, Nuran Pictures. His first novel, غيمة لباب البحرين (“A Cloud for Bab Al Bahrain”), was published in 1994 by Kalimat Books, owned by the Bahrain Writers’ Association. His 2007 novel, السوافح؛ ماء النعيم (“Clematis: Water of Bliss”), won first prize in a national fiction award from the Ministry of Information.
