Außerdem ist sie seit 2004 Professor an der University of California, Irvine. 1979 und 1997/98 war sie am Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) und 1981/82 und 1991 am Max-Planck-Institut für Mathematik in Bonn. 1984/85 war sie Gastprofessorin in Berkeley.
