She was a member of the San Diego Writers' Club, California Writers Club, Oberlin Alumni Association. She moved to California in 1913 and lived at 4804 Del Mar Ave., Ocean Beach, San Diego, California. She married Willey Merrill Gue (1857-1922). She died on October 23, 1944, and is buried at Cypress View Mausoleum and Crematory, San Diego.s View Mausoleum and Crematory, San Diego.
