Ces tablettes ont été découvertes à Amarna et sont donc connues sous le nom de Lettres d'Amarna. Toutes les tablettes sont inscrites en écriture cunéiforme. Moran a donné à la lettre d'Amarna EA007 le titre « A lesson in geography ».
